INDoS joins Neurostars to support neuroimaging data sharing
11th February 2026INCF welcomes the Improving Neuroimaging Data for Sharing (INDoS) COST Action to Neurostars, its community-driven question-and-answer platform for neuroscience. INDoS brings together researchers and experts across Europe to improve the quality, standardization, and sharing of human neuroimaging data, including MRI, EEG, and MEG. Through Neurostars, INDoS participants can exchange technical knowledge, discuss challenges, and access expertise from the broader neuroinformatics community. This collaboration strengthens Neurostars as a shared resource for research communities working to make neuroscience data more FAIR, interoperable, and reusable.
Sharing digital campus experience with European university alliances
3rd February 2026INCF participated in the DiPYUA workshop in Málaga in January 2026, contributing experience from the development of Campus+ for NeurotechEU. Discussions with representatives of European University Alliances covered digital infrastructure, identity management, microcredentials and collaborative platform development. These issues are central to the creation of learning environments that work across institutional boundaries. Campus+ is being developed as NeurotechEU’s virtual campus, supporting discovery of educational opportunities and access to shared resources. Exchanging experience with other alliances helps identify common challenges and practical approaches to interoperability and user access. The workshop provided an opportunity to connect INCF’s experience in digital education and community platforms with the broader European higher-education landscape.

INCF seeks community feedback on the Research Resource Identifiers (RRIDs) - Deadline 15 November 2025
25th June 2025The RRID is a Persistent Unique Identifier assigned to help researchers cite key resources (antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency of research methods. They are machine readable, free to generate and access, and consistent across publishers and journals. They are meant as a tool to improve scholarly communication and scientific reproducibility.

Help us keep our resources free!
2nd December 2024This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising money to keep our neuroscience training resources open and free to the global neuroscience community.
The INCF TrainingStuite is a collection of educational open access platforms where we provide free training in data management, neuroinformatics, implementation of standards and best practices to researchers all over the world.
The INCF Training Suite currently consists of TrainingSpace, Neurostars and KnowledgeSpace. Neurostars is, as the name suggests, the star of the platforms. It connects students with teachers and mentors and has shown to be a very useful tool in the learning process. Neurostars has over 550 users logging in every day!
You can help keep these resources open and free by making a donation here. Your gift will enable us to support open science for the global neuroscience community, leading to breakthroughs in our understanding and treatment of the human brain.
Your contribution makes a difference - donate today!
